Pahurukanda
It is a tiny peak located at the coastal plain of western Sri Lanka. Mountain exhibit the tropical nature with it's native beauty.
It is a little wild mountain and there is a Buddhist temple at the top of the peak. Previously it has used as a Paththini god's devalaya/ god's temple. Also it is ideal for practice of meditation.
At the top of the peak you can observe the beauty of the dawning sun in morning and picturesque sky and sea at evenings. If you lucky you can observe the Siripada mountain / Adam's peak at eastern sky.
You can select two ways to trek. Friendly villagers will show you those two ways. One will start near to the Pahurukanda school and If you walked to the temple which locate nearby the school , 200m after that you can see the way to the mountain in your right side.
Both ways directly bring you to the top of the mountain. Stone stairs will direct you and make your journey more comfortable.
